Man arrested for writing $14K in fake checks | Crime

Orem police have recovered items worth thousands of dollars in a stolen U-Haul truck.

Police say Billy Anderson used a fake check for a $4,000 purchase at Park Sports in Orem.

They identified Anderson on a surviellance video and tracked him down at his home where they found a stolen U-Haul truck in the driveway, containing the items he bought with that fake check. Police say he also wrote a fake check for more than $10,000 in Lehi.

Anderson is facing two cuonts of issuing a bad check, both felony charges.
